Chemogenetic approaches to dissect redox stress pathways in the cardiovascular system

Thomas Michel Harvard Medical SchoolProf. Thomas Michel, Professor of Medicine and Biochemistry from Harvard Medical School, USA will join the Paris Redox 2019 and will talk about "Chemogenetic approaches to dissect redox stress pathways in the cardiovascular system" during the congress which will be held on June 20-21, 2019 in Paris, France

Summary of Talk: "This talk will present our recent work exploiting in vivo chemogenetic approaches to dynamically modulate redox stress in cardiovascular cells and tissues.  These studies establish a causal role for oxidative stress in the pathobiology of heart failure.  Chemogenetic approaches permit the development of powerful and robust animal models that facilitate the analysis of novel therapeutic approaches to prevent and treat heart failure."
