Summary of the Talk: In this presentation, a definition for reductive stress (RS) and redox spectrum will be given. Exclusive models for reductive stress will be described with their impact on the cardiac structural and functional remodelling. Details on the heart failure classification will be provided. In addition, the relevance of RS to heart failure patients and strategies for antioxidant supplementation in these patients will be discussed.
